i think the s8 is a solid phone and an incredible phone, there are 2 things that i dont like about the s8. first is the placement of the fingerprint scanner, and secondly the battery capacity. i dont know how it's gonna perform in the real world situation but that capacity is to low for a big screen phone. but there are many thing to love about the s8.the infinity display georgeus and the camera is incredible. overall making it a solid phone.

well that's my opinion on the s8, sorry for the grammar mistakes. what do you think about the s8?

I think the S8 will be fine with the 3000mah battery, the technology these phones have now manage battery consumption pretty good. I personally would get the + because I love big phones and since I had to get rid of my Note 7 (twice) this S7E is tiny compared to the 8+ and I can't wait to see it in person. Some of the features I can't wait to see, 2 more than others, is Bixby and the DeX docking station. I hope they have the display model out at best buy today, I need to hold one.

For as much as I use the fingerprint scanner, it shouldn't be a huge issue for me. Mostly, I was using it with Samsung pay, but haven't used it in a while.
I think the battery should hold up fine as well. You can't base battery life on just the size of the battery. There are other factors in play that counteract the larger screen. I am expecting better battery life, actually.
Overall, I like the S8. I see no big red flags. The superior picture quality over the S7 is still up for discussion. I would assume Samsung knows what they are doing and done improvements to the software and lens to improve the quality. The SD 835 will also help in this department.
There's a lot of little things that I think people will need to own the phone in order to appreciate. Samsung cannot go over ALL of the phone's details in the launch presentation.

Curious as to why you're expecting better battery life? Bigger display/same battery size doesn't really tell the same story

I'm not sure about the fingerprint sensor on the back. Other than that, I'm really liking what I've seen so far. My problem with the sensor is that at work I have it propped up on a vertical wireless charger or flat on my desk, and frequently unlock without picking up the device. I'm going to wait until I hear some more real world user opinions before seriously considering the upgrade.

I agree. I guess it remains to be seen how the fingerprint sensor works in day to day use.

Those 2 issues you have mentioned, Scanner place and battery are a NO GO for me and a deal breaker....and i did not mention the price yet 😲...thanks but no thanks
My GS7 is just Great for me.

I like it! Love that they no longer have the physical home button. Looks much sleaker and futuristic (-proof?!) now. My only concern is battery life and its durability within the first year and those dreaded slowdowns. I hope Samsung has 'further' improved TW's efficiency.

The new processor is supposed to be far more efficient and battery friendly. I think if you're on the fence you should just wait for some real life reviews and see if this actually stands up or not.

I agree with the Finger Print location, they should've went vertical with the Flash, Camera and Finger Print. That would've been perfect.

Battery has never been a concern especially with Fast Charging now being more standard.

There's no question I will buy the S8+ but hate that I'll have to sell my moto Z so soon. Only had it for two weeks.
