Thoughts after using Bionic plus pictures

All i want to know from everyone is if their is a friggin notification light ..... PLEEEEEEASE tell me there is one !

I can't remember a Moto phone that doesn't have one. Although, it has already been confirmed in several pictures that is has a notification light.

The more I see the more I like. I like that Moto decided to stick a bigger battery in there. I'm not expecting a battery life miracle but it can't possibly be worse than the Thunderbolt. Seems like Moto might have made some tweaks to the screen as well. I'll have to see it for myself, but I'm optimistic. Didn't see any mention about a notification LED, but if it's there then this phone is a winner in my book. Benchmarks look pretty solid too. All-in-all I'm liking this so far. Makes it hard to wait and see what else is around the corner.

Thank you ! I looked at a bunch of pics and all i could see in them was the camera. Thanks for making my day :-)

Looks good, but I can wait a bit longer to see what else is around the corner. Still, can't wait to go into a store and play with it finally!

Well that settles it, screw the Prime, screw the Vigor; there's no way I can pass this thing up, it's time for me to finally get my first smartphone!

There are suddenly a lot more Bionic fans than there were a week ago. :P Perhaps Joe should get Salesman of the Year for all the Bionics he's "selling" now.

I was debating whether or not to stick it out for the Prime, but I think this thread convinced me to pull the trigger on the Bionic

You gotta realize that some of you might get the Bionic right when it comes out... but you'll either get sick of it sooner than later or will be so drawn in to another device like the Vigor or Prime that you'll STILL go out and buy it anyway! :)

Would you mind pointing me toward those pictures or vids? I just read through the entire Droid Bionic manual and there is nary a word about notification LEDs.

The reason I ask is because the photos from back in January showing the green LED on this page

http://forums.androidcentral.com/droid-bionic/52682-led-notification-light.html

seem to show an earlier build of the phone that doesn't necessarily match (could be a trick of the light) the look of the photos by the OP in this thread. The location of the usb/charge plug is different than shown in manual too.

I'm feeling the same way right now. Hopefully I can resist long enough for the other phones to arrive, but I have serious doubts.

Uh Oh....my Thunderbolt got 61480. Not overclocked. Does that mean anything or is it a function of my having 4G and your test not running on 4G?

i too was thinking of prime but then realised...

    1. I like being upto date on software
    2. nexus devices are the ones who get first of every updates
    3. this means bugs too arrive at same time , and at times ruining experience
    4. if i get another device, i will get updates but later stages/time
    5. which means probably a work around or fix will come when bionic get thats update

By the way.. on that LapDock I intend to get it - but I'm wanting to get one thing with absolute clarity:
Will Verizon require any sort of extra plans to have it? (i.e. Tethering plan ala AT&T?)

So far I have not seen any concrete answers on this.

My thoughts exactly. I wish there was something 'in writing from VZW' that would confirm it 100%. If its just another accessory, then they did things right and the AT&T customers should be pissed :) However, if they try and tack on some sort of fee to use it, well.. I'M going to be pissed. Mostly because i would use it maybe once a week and only in rare occasions using my data plan. If I use it at home, i'd be on WiFi which is where i'm at MOST of the time.
