Thoughts after using Bionic plus pictures

Bloatware is no reason to wait for any phone. It will probably take 10 mins max to delete all the bloatware off the Bionic. I also wouldn't be so sure that VZW's Prime will be bloat-free - Droid branding or not.

Yeah, I'm afraid of that.

Damn all this awesomeness! I don't know what to do now. One way or another, my wallet is going to weep. Between this, the GS2 and the Prime my head may very well explode.

7.299.99 on contract

This is a great phone. Haters can all suck it and wait for the RUMORED Prime. Even if it does get released in October it won't be much better then this phone. Not to mention that Motorola is a GREAT hardware company, this thing is gonna last and it's a great looking phone, one of the best.

Just to help out...... according to the Moto Rep in our store today: It is Gorilla Glass and the bootloader is unlocked.

Sorry but I don't think $589 is retail. That was a figure that was later determined to be best buy's cost. Retail price is shown to be for best buy is 699.99

Best Buy always marks theirs up. You will likely get the $589 price off contract through Verizon or maybe Amazon wireless.

Longshot time: I've been trying to find out what generation of eMMC flash memory is in the bionic, 4.4 4.41, or 4.5

It would be listed as something like hwrev in the electronic card ID data of the flash memory.

In linux it would be in the /sys entries, I believe android also has /sys but I'm not sure if the same info would be there.

Not the easiest thing to hunt down, but if you're in the neighborhood.;)

Honestly, if you can throw a few hundred more bones to avoid a two year contract, I would. Resale of high end devices like this are relatively good for several months, and whale, upgrade when you want, not them. I did do one year contracts, but not even a bionic will make me give up my device freedom for two years, no way. If the pix-elation isn't present, I may drop 600 to run it for a few?

We will see. If best buy is paying 589 per phone I'm sure verizon is too. They are not going to break even.
