Anyone else think that the time difference between the announcement and start of the preorders of the S8/S8+ and the street date of its release is a little too long?
Most of us in America are going to sit through most of April in a painstaking wait, assuming they're going to hold true to the 4/21 delivery time, while other countries will trickle in a few days to a week earlier.
In comparison, Apple usually holds preordering exactly one week prior to the actual release of their iPhones. That was at least tolerable.
At least for me, to lessen the blow, I've still got six days to return my LG G6 back to T-Mobile within its return policy period, leaving me without a real smartphone for just 10 days, which is still longer than I usually wait for my iPhone.
Did Samsung have to announce it or start preorders when they did? It's not like they were trying to take the spotlight from Apple, and it's not like the G6 was earth-shattering to steal thunder from.
