Thunberbolt is global?

Verizon changed their global plan. No more unlimited data for $69.99 a month (prorated if you out of country less than a month) now it is $69.99 for 20 mb of data and $100 for 70 mb of data. I stopped worrying about the global feature at that point. At $5 a meg after that 70 mb I could buy a phone and a card over in europe if I am there for more than a few days.

We have no intention of using Verizon's service in South America. I simply need to be sure that the phone has the right GSM chip that can be unlocked and swapped with a pre-paid SIM card.

She doesn't like the Droid 2 Global. So, BlackBerry seems to be our only viable option. I hope more global Android devices hit the market, though.
