I can't wait till the TB is one click rooted so i can use unrevoked then load a custom rom with better battery life.

UPDATE: I'm now going on 8hrs and still have 57% battery left. Moderate-heavy usage still. So far I'm very pleased with battery life. For 4G and a 1400mah battery. This things running strong for the first day of actual use. Can't wait to root this thing.

How? I woke up at 8:30 this morning, went to work, and by 1 it was at 50%. I charged it for about 10 minutes in my car when I grabbed lunch. When I left at 5:45, the phone was dead. I mean, I BARELY used the thing and the battery was toast.

if I text someone it shows then my sim card number and att folks can't even get my texts. It seems like its happening to people in 4g areas which I'm in 24/7

okay now this charge seems to be lasting a lot better. i turned the blockbuster updates off.

Yup, this is what was killing my battery as well. I opened up the blockbuster app, let it update, and then turned OFF the "update movies" feature.

Boom...normal battery life.

I saw that after I got home. (after I had to let my Bolt spend some quality time with a charger) Hopefully this fixes the issue.

It still ticks me off though; this is case and point for an outright ban of carrier bloatware. Blockbuster is some cheap-ass company that wouldn't know how to build a good app even if Google told them how. There's no reason why it deserves unfettered access to a network connection, and no reason why we as users shouldn't be able to revoke those permissions.

I mean, for God's sake Verizon, at least give us the option to uninstall some of the most obnoxious bloat like Blockbuster!

Are many of you folks using Handcent there is a ton of options in there that will be draining battery if you text alot. Recommend going through all the menus and turing off things like multiple or any delivery reports and features labelled to be high performance or battery use.

So far i've had no battery problems with roughly 20 apps loaded on phone. 1 gmail, 1 twitter, 1 facebook, 2 yahoo email sync. I felt 30 minutes to 1 hour was often enough to update I mean sure I would like it every 5 minutes but not at cost of hour less on my battery per charge.

Also downloaded 2 different app killers just to see how much bloatware is running and honestly it seems to be nearly 5-7 more things running then my Incredible had obviously few different apps but much more programs running boot that will benifit those who root when it comes out shortly.

If your having trouble sending text (I was as well)...just shut it down, remove the battery for 30sec-1min and start it back up...seemed to fix the problem for a lot of people

My battery lasted less than 2 hours playing Pandora on my drive home....hopefully it gets better...I'm going to turn my screen down to 25% to see if that helps.

If you go into settings, there's a menu that shows a breakdown of what's using power. For me I recall the screen/display was 60% and everything else was sub-10%, so yeah may want to turn that down.

3 hrs of browsing, talking text. I am about 70 percent! It's getting better, using wifi, with 15 second screen time off and low brightness

have you done as a few others have said and turned off blockbuster updates?

I did a battery, sim card, and micro SD pull and all of a sudden my sms problem and battery draining were fixed. Before the pull my battery would go down without use 10% every 15 min. The hard part was opening the battery door....

Question: (and I apologize if its stupid, but I've never had to do it before) For a battery pull you do it when the phone is on, right?
