so... what do we do now that its in the Best Buy weekly for the 3rd or 4th week in a row? Sure, the online circular says "coming soon" when you scroll over the phone, but looks like they make no mention in the physical copy...

That's right. On the facebook page, they have been repeatedly telling everybody that after applying the preorder gift card of $50, it will be $199.99 + Tax (where applicable).

So what's the point in the preorder if your paying the same rate as everyone else? I don't see there being any supply issues with this phone.

What many of the posts are saying is that it's not the same rate. According to the posts (and Best Buy's Facebook page), if you pre-order, the total will be $249 versus $299 if you don't.

199!!? that's less than VZ. Its going to be 250 with a preorder which will come out to 300. They just want it to look cheaper. We do it all the time for movies and game system packages. We say heres a 20 dollar movie, but if you preorder for 5 bucks will knock off $5 on the movie. You say cool it's only 15 but your still paying 20 in the end. Actually more because of tax lol. I would be astounded if this wasn't the case with the TB. YOu don't get it cheaper. You just reserve yourself a phone. That's all.

No. Ive mentioned it to my buddy who works in mobile. He said those things are typically ran by employees who know no more than we do. They will take rumors from the internet and use them as facts. He said the best thing to do is look for a VZ announcement and continue checking RSS for any changes. He said our system now shows a in stock date of the 10th with no street date. Were still waiting for VZ to tell us we can't sell it yet. He says they will probably send out emails the day before like they did last month.

Yea, i ve seen them. I don't want to come off as a ******. Im definitely not trying to claim i have some inside info. It's just that based off of how we normally price items and when we do pre orders, i don't think the final price will be 250. But we'll see.

I was told that only the BB the preorder is at is the only one you can pick up from.

Well, you can obviously "pick it up" from any Best Buy that has stock. But, you won't be guaranteed "first right of refusal" unless you go the the Best Buy where you put in the pre-order. Each store will honor its own pre-orders before another store's pre-orders. If they have stock above their own store's pre-orders, sure, they'll sell you one.
