Thunderbolt has been powering off suddenly

Hardware version 2

I have seen at least 4 random reboots. Once on way home yesterday. I have a Jabra bluettoth speaker on my visor. It reported disconnected. Took the phone out of belt clip and it was rebooting. I do have the extended battery. I called Verizon technical support. It seems I am the first to call in about this issue?

I also have this problem, and i use the extended Battery. my restarts happen 2 to 4 times a day, and there seems to be no pattern. happens while downloading market apps, while using Pandora, while on a call, ect. I'm wondering if the extended battery is the culprit.

My TB did 3 complete reboots last week (twice within an hour). I am not complaining. Since the reboots, my sound quality (in call and media) is better and my battery has been amazing.

Yah, this is wiered....during my sleep, it just shuts off....which sucks because i missed some alarms...i have no idea why....it was then on green....about 40 percent battery, and after going to class right after lunch, next period it just wouldn't turn on...i guess it was dead but it couldn't have used 40 percent in 50 minutes on standby....

Maybe i should take it back to the store?

I've had my Bolt since this past Wednesday. This morning I had my first unexplained reboot. It happened shortly after I tapped the power button to turn on the screen. I knew I didn't tap it longer than any other time, but thought maybe it was being super sensitive or I wasn't quite awake yet.

I am on Hardware Version 0002

They are most likely testing 4G/LTE. This tends to happen for months before it officially becomes available, AT&T did the same thing with 3G when we finally got that here last year.

Well.... I can say that since having my Bolt, we have not had 3G in my area (I was told there was one 4G tower by the airport).... HOWEVER, when I was leaving my house this afternoon and went and turned off my WiFi (because I haven't been able to get a 3G signal at my house)..... to my AMAZEMENT, the little digger at the top of my screen said...... 4G!!!! Of course, as I drove blocks away, it went to 3G and then in one area, it was only 1X.... But at my daughter's school and at home, I am NOW receiving a 4G signal!

How is this related to your post? Well, this morning was the first unexplained reboot that I have had.... So could it be tied to the apparent added 4G tower close to me????

Update: on 70 percent battery, it just turned off again...and it doesn't reboot....it stays off....ugh....vzw store? here i come? :(

Just my opinion, but I think that all the reboots are from the phone getting warm and then rebooting.
I have a fully stock TB, Version 2 hardware.
I have been noticing my phone getting warm at different times. My phone has rebooted 3 times since I got it on the first day. I also notice when I play pandora or some other app, that when it gets warm, the app usually stops all of a sudden, which is why I think that all the reboots are related to the phone getting warm....

But just my opinion :-)

Mine usually happen when I havent been using it. I have had about 1 per week and they usually happen when I am sitting in class doing nothing on it and I notice the bright HTC boot screen. No 4G in my area either
