[update: I did not see that 1.0.9 was a PATCH that required 1.0.8. *doh*]

Hi,

Followed instructions pretty meticulously on how to root using Revolutionary (successful), made a Nandroid backup, wiped user data, wiped cache, wiped Dalvik cache, and installed 1.0.9.zip from sdcard.

The install of bamf forever 1.0.9 literally takes 2 seconds (not the 2-5 minutes I was expecting, as mentioned in the [Guide] http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...tore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html#post829084 )

Afterwards, I tried to reboot from recovery. HTC logo appears, Thunderbolt animation appears, and then it seems to freeze for 15 seconds. Phone reboots itself again, and then keeps going into a reboot cycle, with thunderbolt animation half-finishing each time. Tried taking battery out and rebooting, and same issue.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

All I've come across so far was I noticed the 1.0.9.zip I downloaded to my PC had to be 'Unblocked' (Windows > Right-click File > 'Unblock') -- I wonder if this caused the issue. Also, to copy 1.0.9.zip to the sd-card, I mounted it through CWR directly (mounts and storage > Mount USB store)

Thanks for any help you guys might be able to provide.

Just a quick update. I "unblocked" the zip from windows and copied it back over to the phone, and still had the same issue, so no resolution yet. Thankfully, I used this opportunity to test the restore of the Nandroid backup, and was able to boot successfully from the restored image.

I think I figured it out. I did not see that 1.0.9 was a PATCH that required 1.0.8. *doh*

1.0.9 is only a patch requiring 1.0.8 first.
