Thunderbolt or Incredible 2?

It's prety much the same price everywhere I think the AC store had it for $45 but if you're looking for a steep discount I am not aware of any.

Thanks. I'm gonna order one after i know for sure they fix these issues and I'm hanging onto the phone for a while.

So, my honest breakdown of the Incredible 2 and the Thunderbolt honestly comes down to 4G vs. Global. Where ever you live, if you have VZW 3G right now, you will almost certainly have 4G LTE by 2013, so the question you have to ask is do you want the ability to travel to 220+ countries?

If no, I would have you hop on the 4G train now before tiered pricing hits. If the pricing ends up being more cost efficient than the current $29.99 unlimited plan, which I doubt, you can always change to the new data plans. If not, you are grandfathered into unlimited 4G data usage. Ask any former Alltel customers about their 3G internet BSP plan. Unlimited internet use for $60 a month was not a bad deal, and still beats out tiered internet plans.

DInc2 if you don't want to be a slave to your battery

Based on my experience (Tbolt for a month, then got the Dinc2), the Dinc2's battery life is far better than the Tbolt, EVEN IN 3G. And I did all the tweakin and crap you could do (didn't root though). Now I have the Dinc2 and love it -- great size and weight, cool rotating buttons, and I don't even miss the 4G at ALL. Unless you're surfing all the time or streaming stuff constantly, it doesn't matter -- most stuff syncs in the background anyway. And in 4G, forget the standard battery. You'll be tied to an outlet every chance you get.

For me it came down to this -- all the speed in the world doesn't make up for availability. If I have a dying/dead battery it just makes the experience miserable.

Ok, so that was my experience. I might also suggest you post the same question in the Dinc2 forum if you haven't already. You could balance all the responses.

Only downside to the Dinc2, not a lot of love. The forum is smaller and the developer community doesn't seem to be very interested. But that's ok -- I still stay in touch with this forum for tips and tricks that aren't specific to the bolt.

Good luck!

One point missing about the extended battery on the T-Bolt... once installed you can bludgeon small animals with your new weaponized phone.

Even if you do get an LTE plan now there's really no guarantee that after an upgrade or a plan change you wont still have to change to the new tiered plans.
