O/P,
don't think i've seen this listed yet--

but of the 32GB card, how much is actually able to be used?

(just in case you forgot: Menu>Settings>SD&Phone Storage>SD Card Aavailable Space) you probably know, but just on there in the odd event you didn't.

and to add to it, of the 8GB internal storage, how much is available?

thanks in advance!

Total space is 29.71
Available is 29.71

Internal space is 2.9

hey rubytuesday can you download a widget off the market and check the 4g toggle?

i know you said you got it at 50%, but in the time you've had the phone how has the battery life been? plunging or steady life?

Haven't found a widget for 4g toggle.

Battery life.......Got it to 100% at 5:15pm. It is 7:11 and I'm at 55%. Pretty heavy usage. Mostly internet/apps and a 30 minute call. Using battery widget.

We will see how it does tomorrow after I drain it tonight and charge overnight.

Widgetsoid, in the market, has a 4G toggle

i know cos i use it on my Evo :)

and you can create a Widget for basically every other function of the phone, too--i'm not plugging this app i swear.

thanks so much for answering all of our questions!

That doesn't sound good!!!

Right now, battery life is going to make it or break it for me. My Incredible took more tweaking than expected to get all day usage battery life (root+CM7 and now I'm happy with battery life). I'd MUCH rather a phone out of the box with good battery life.

I'm hoping it won't be the deal breaker otherwise I guess I'll be waiting for the LG Revolution or Droid Bionic

I have a feeling that dual core phones wil burn battery even quicker.

I have a feeling that battery drain may be related to total data downloaded as much as time being used, so heavy network usage might drain it faster than any other phone, but it will hopefully last a normal amount of time with normal usage.

At least that's what I'm hoping, because I want this phone to be awesome...

Maybe. Maybe not. I've been reading around that dual cores actually use less battery power..

heck, I'm sure if HTC stuck a 1900mAh+ battery in the Thunderbolt like Motorola did the Atrix and Bionic, the battery life complaints would drop but HTC likes skimping on the batteries.

Widgetsoid does not work. 4g is greyed out. I don't think you can switch off 4g.

The battery life isn't going to be good on this phone. I think we all knew that from the start.

Extended batteries are really a necessity nowadays with these phones more than a luxury.

How's a 2750 mAh for $50 sound? ...yea, they should have included it, but what's an extra $50 for happiness.

Hope this is legit.

I agree with this. I plan on getting an extended battery right away. My only concern is that this device is already a little thicker than most and I wonder just how much thicker it will be with the HTC extended battery. I'm assuming it will be pretty damn thick. That and the 4.3in screen I wonder how pocketable it will be. Winter will be no problem because you can use a jacket pocket, but summer might be a killer.

What is the deal with extended batteries? I've never used one.. does the battery come with a seperate back cover for the phone that makes up for the added bulk, or what??

Yes.

I've already pre-ordered two of [these].

I'm going to *try* and hold out for a Mugen(hopefully 3200mah). I bought the 3200 for my Nexus One and it went from lasting 8 hours on a charge to 20 hours. I'm hoping the 3200 and the HTC 2750 will be the same size.

When I buy extended batteries that are large enough to require another back, I prefer OEM. I've been burnt in the past with batteries that were okay but backs that were poor-quality and poor-fitting.
