Thunderbolt Thursday Waiting Room HERE!

Cory.. this thread u pointed me to does not address the question..

Will the thunderbolt work on an Alltel Smartpack plan.?

They send you a lot more detail once you've ordered it. A few experts:

I wish Amazon carried this phone. 30-day, no questions asked, returns.

Amazon did have it on their site for a day around the Feb 14th release if I remember correct. Wonder if they still are going to sell it.

What time/hour are sales likely to start online?

Trying to get an idea of how late one should stay up waiting for online sales to start, or if getting up early the next morn would be better. Sadly waiting up all night isn't an option.

So, that said, what time of night/morning do new phones tend to go on sale online for Verizon? Or better yet, has there been mention of when specifically thunderbolt sales will start that I'm missing?

So excited to finally move away from my LG Dare and to the awesomeness that is Android! :D

EDIT: Bah, I feel dumb for not noticing this was already answered. Thank you though!

Saw this in the spec sheet Cory referenced in the frist post in ths thread (emphasis added):

Accessories Supported: HDMI Adapter, Wireless Charging , Extended Battery (3.7VDC, 2750mAh), Audio Adapter, Car Kit, Car Charger, Mono BT Headset, Standard Battery, USB Sync Cable, AC Adapter, Simple Pouch

So it looks like there will be an official extended battery with nearly twice the capacity.

but will it be twice as thick as well?

The data plan might not "replace" your current one but just basically renew it if you already have unlimited smartphone data. Telesales seemed to think so, but still no word if its a different "plan" with same price. If that is the case then anyone (including me) who had the Talk and Text plus Data promo is out of $20.

My contract ends on the 29th of this month. It's a family plan with 2 phones. Since we haven't used the main lines new every 2 yet, will we still get that if we decide to order this phone and another phone from verizon? (since we had the service before they stopped doing that)

Also, will the 4g unlimited data always be $30 or will they eventually fake everyone out who got it and add an extra $10 onto it sometime? = /

I think this might be the phone I get just as long as theres no shady stuff and the nv2 discount still applies.

They will be switching to tiered data sometime soon, i.e. this summer. I wouldn't sleep on this deal. Might be worth getting into a 2-yr contract just for that pricing.

I hope we can keep the T&T+D. I think I would probably pass on this phone otherwise... :'(

Does anyone know if we can take the phone abroad and switch the 4G SIM card for a GSM sim card?

Did you ask specifically about the "Talk and Text plus Data promo"?

How it's worked in the past: If you order online, the website will make you choose another plan, saying that the phone you are purchasing is not compatible with your plan. Some have reported success talking to a human being - either in store or via CS. Others haven't.

I'm guessing you are not going to have much success, especially with the TB requiring the new LTE plan add-on.

Is it clear that it's an entirely different data plan at the same price? If so, that sucks because the T&T+D promo is gone for those of us that have it.

Telesales seemed to think it was the same "smartphone data" plan.
