Thunderbolt update

Downloaded the update earlier today, all seems to be working well, no problems here with my voicemails, tested a few times and seems to be working. Was really hoping the update just might have corrected their Dialer app not shutting down and using excessive battery but so far it seems to be the same. :( Guess they don't really find it a problem at HTC.. I am still hoping though :)

Otherwise the update so far seems good!

Just got the update. Only thing I noticed right away was that my living room is no longer a 4G dead spot. I would only manage 3G in here since the Grand Rapids area expanded on 11/17.

Anybody having GPS issues post - update? Cuz I am NOT in Montclair NJ right now. I'm just not.

Update: ... Seems ok now.

Got Update around 7 PM EST havent noticed anything as of yet. GPS seems to be working

Ok as I reported earlier I was having problems with voicemail notification still on phone after I heard all messages, anyways I went and cleared the notification in the call settings and haven't had a problem since

Just to add my datapoint...

Downloaded and updated to Build 2.11.605.9 smoothly. Seems fine, but I guess time will tell. I'm optimistic that the new radios will be even better. Although, I was very happy with mine before the update. Just FYI, the new radios are 1.48.00.0930w_3 (CDMA) and 0.01.78.0916w_3 (LTE).

Details..
When I checked for updates I was getting "No updates avail" most of the day. Then, around 2pm Denver time I got "update available" and proceeded to OK and continued. This time was comserate with a number of other folks who posted about that time that it just became available.

During my first attempt, after what seemed like the whole download took place (I didn't have the download progress bar on the screen so I didn't know for sure), I got a "Server Error" message. Heck, I was literally sitting right under a good 4G antenna too. Then, I tried often for the next 4 or 5 hours and kept getting "No updates available". My update status screen said "Update Failed". I tried this both before and after various restart/bat-pulls.

So... I went into application management/all and found an "Updater" application, whatever that is :). I had a choice to Clear Data or Force Close. I was afraid to Clear
data because I didn't know what this app really was anyway, so I just did a Force Close. I figured, at least that way it would start again after a reboot. Well, then I tried to update the software again -- got a hit! This time I got the "update available" message and selected OK and all went smooth after that.

So, if you keep getting "No update available", try Force Closing the "Updater" application (whatever that is :) ).

I'm glad to have the clock app icon back in the drawer. I still have to tap a missed call notification twice to get rid of it however. I was hoping that would get fixed.:'(

Woo-who, my ringtones are working! And it seems I am not losing mobile network! All is good!:)

Cleared my persistant v-mail notification problem after the update by having someone leave me a v-mail and then listening to it.

Word to the wise... Do not update if rooted. I learned the hard way.

If you're stuck in a boot loop, just hold vol down and power when the device is rebooting and choose clear cache, reboot phone. You're prob not an idiot like me. I unrooted got the updates, and now I can't re-root because of today's updates. So now im stuck with a crappy non rooted phone, but you should be alright if you follow my instructions.

Still waiting for them to roll it to my TB

Menu, Settings, Software Update, Check new. Better to do it under controlled conditions than let them "roll" it to you at the most inconvenient moment. IMHO.

Got mine without any issues :) Works fine ..... Seems to know where I am & hopefully will give proper location & ringtone of callers. Use to tell me I was 120 miles North of where I am until the last GB update, then it would just say Minnesota ..... Now it's got me pegged :D

Cheers :)

My notification volumes are fixed! Man - I thought I was the only person in the world who noticed that!!

What was wrong with the notification volume? I've not noticed any difference pre/post update.

What I noticed was the first notification tone when the screen was dark was often a much lower volume level than any subsequent notification tone. Now it seems as if the volume for notifications is more consistent with this update.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the update but when I go into fancy Widgets, most of the skins are missing...I also keep gettinfg a notification to tap out of sleep mode that I've never seen before.
