Time between launch and being able to buy (UK)

I was reading on another site it took 8 weeks for the G2 to come to market. Is that true? Fingers crossed the G3 will be faster.........

I really hope its faster then that. My upgrade in June 1st and I want to ditch this iPhone.

There's usually a gap for 4-6 weeks. We'll see.
