Hi there,

I was watching some YouTube's about the features on my Flip3. I really like that some people do these tutorials and how-to's and it helps others like me. :) So thanks to those who are into this.

Anyway, I found a tip that so far seems to have increased my daily battery life.

SETTINGS
BATTERY AND DEVICE CARE
BATTERY
MORE BATTERY SETTINGS
TURN ON 'PROTECT BATTERY'

The difference is supposed to be 120 mhz or 60 mhz and I find no difference between the two so I'm good w/the lower mhz. Another good one to turn on here is the Adaptive setting at the top. At least this is what the YT said.

My battery originally got a little better after a day or so of use/charging. But it stopped there. This tip made it even a little better than the first tip.

You're welcome. I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that there are a bunch of videos on YT for how to do things with your phone like the battery thing and others. I watched several of them. I will have to say some of them are way to long and the point could have been made in half the time but at least the tips are pretty good so far anyway. I love the phone :) Coming from the V60 which I hated it's nice to have a phone I like!

on my flip 3, the setting for 120mhz down to 60mhz is in settings- display- motion smoothness and change it from adaptive to standard. this drops it from 120mhz to 60mhz without having to slow down other features..
i found i get improved battery life by just changing the mhz rate, and don't need to slow down data or turn off always on display..
Just an option. i don't play games that I need 120mhz screen, so 60 is fine with me, but i don't want to slow the rest if the phone down.

I keep trying the 120hz option only to keep finding that it's not worth the difference in battery life. I keep trying it because some write as though phones are all-of-the-sudden nearly unusable at 60hz and that 120hz is the Holy Grail. I keep coming up short on this. I just can't see the vast improvement but that could be my middle-aged eyes and brain. For the way I use my phones, 60hz is just fine. When 120+hz can be done while still offering iPhone 12/13 Pro Max-like (or better) battery life then...well, why not?
