Tips for Android Noobs

I am coming from a Pantech Jest. Yes a Pantech Jest. And I am used to the Apple operating system because of the iPod Touch. But I have almost never used Android. I used my friends Evo today (which I think has HTC Sense?) and I loved it! I will be getting the Thunderbolt and I was wondering if you guys could give me any tips for my phone when I get it? (Settings, Apps, Updates, and Tricks)
