Tired of Powerwashed GB 2.3.4

Hi,
I've been running powerwashed GB 2.3.4 for many, many months now. It is running slowly and has its fair share of bugs. I want a new rom with upgrades and bugfixes. Can you recommend one?

It seems like the roms that are listed here:

Are pretty old and out of date. That page still links to the powerwashed rom that I'm using from 8/2011.

Is there anything new, stable, and good out there? Or have devs moved on to newer phones.

If you want to stick with Touchwiz I would recommend superclean 3 milestone 2. Sorry I don't have a link look at rootzwiki. If you are a bit more adventurous you could try ics, aokp is pretty solid.

+1 SC3 Milestone2! By now I kind of feel like a posterboy for this ROM, I can't recommend it enough. SC3 + Launcherpro hit the sweet spot for me. No bloat, stupid features removed, no twlauncher. Here you go:

Post number 3 in the downloads section. This isn't the newest ROM around, but what it sounds like you're looking for is performance. You won't be dissapointed.

Agreed. I recommend this ROM at all turns. It's by far the most stable ROM I've ever run. I have it running on top of the excellent Voodoo KGB kernel (which has tons of fantastic features and options including an app to change your settings) Running o'clocked to 1200Mhz like a top.

Everything works very well - never get reboots - I wish there was a reason for me to try something else as I miss the tinkering, but there's just no compelling reason to look elsewhere. (only thing I'd change is to get Voodoo Color back on the KGB kernel - he abandoned it in his last build and I miss it)

I've been reading you comments for awhile. I just went to ICS milestone 5 after a few gb builds and I love. Give it a try.

Nice! Thanks for the reco, storms, atraxia, and icu.

I loaded up SuperClean Milestone 3 and it is indeed super stable. I'd definitely recommend it. It has been fast, stable, and generally bug free.

Good:
- the screenshotting / back arrow bug is gone
- far fewer force closes
- Quick & Snappy

Bad:
- Can't get rid of stupid My Verizon app from this rom. Why was this installed? Why does the app need to run as a service?
- Occasionally the touchscreen will freeze up when the phone is ringing and I want to answer a call
- A lot less memory free running at idle (from Advanced task killer). Was ~60mb now <40mb. New Facebook might be the culprit though, hesitant to even bring this up

Generally REALLY good and a huge improvement over PowerWashed 2.3.4.

You can use Titanium Backup and uninstall My Verizon.

Definitely use ICS, it's fast and packed with new features.

All of the newer ICS ROMS for the Fascinate seem to be 99.99% stable, and run really well. I dropped AOKP Build 37 on my wife's Fascinate, which uses Nova Launcher as the default launcher (highly customizable), and everything has been running perfectly. The days of ICS having issues are pretty much gone. I highly recommend jumping on the ICS bandwagon with the Fascinate.
