Tired of Waiting

I honestly think they found some bugs that needed correcting.

First off new versions of ICS have been released. So things are happening.

Secondly there is no good way to tell people "hey we found problems we are trying to fix them prior to release" because that is a huge no no in the business world. Shareholders fair better when the company doesn't say anything vs saying there are problems even if they are minor. Lose a lot of money or look like the good guy...we all would make the same decision...

Look how many people are upset by this release....couple thousand? Now look how many people will eventually buy it....couple hundred thousand? We are the minority and it doesn't make any sense on any level of a functioning business to cater to us...

We will get it when we get it. This will just be another unremembered Verizon screw up and we (the minority) will be saying the same thing for the next big release...

Just because new versions are released doesn't mean it is due to bugs. It can simply be adding a newer radio which will help increase battery life and signal which seems to be the case in .02 update.

Another thing. The same people that complain about this delay would/will complain about bugs. Verizon can't win in this situation

Oh well battery life and signal strength....two thing totally irrelevant ....you are right...Verizon give me a phone a poor signal and crappy battery life that's not important to me! (sarcasm end)

I dunno, I would like to see some numbers on sales of the Razr, Rezound and GN once its been out a while. All I know is when I ordered my Razr I did it over the phone at about 3:30pm on a Tuesday and the next day it was at my house....and I didn't ask for expedited shipping. I could be wrong but something tells me that these phones aren't flying off the shelf.

Ha yeah those are pretty important. People always cry about those two more than they complain about bugs.

They usually do overnight shipping so that could be why. i think the rate android phones come out no one is going to blow away sales wise. Each has something different for different people and they all sell well together but individually they won't ever come close to iphone type numbers.

I don't understand what this has to do with the post you quoted.

If you mean my minority talk I stand by that. If you ask 10 people on the street about the GN pretty good chance that's not a large enough pool and 10 out of 10 will have no idea what you are talking about. I literally don't know a single person in real life that knows anything about the GN more then the name. So I seriously doubt they are interested in it...

Verizon could have won this by giving a date....thats what is frustrating so many people. We all know there are bugs in the phone which is no different than any other phone....this isn't unique. I just think its odd for Verizon to give such a huge release window up-front and now a month later still no word. Even Verizon employees that I've talked to think the whole thing is strange. I refuse to believe this whole thing is about bugs........its about money. We all just need to realize that Verizon will release the phone when they pocket enough money from their holiday bloat phones. In the end, its very frustrating but remember that Google left the table apparently agreeing to all this. So, even though I'm disappointed with Verizon and frustrated, I blame Google 100% because they left it up to Verizon to release it and they also are letting Verizon put crap in it (probably the very bugs that they are trying to fix).

I wonder if maybe verizon has no other phones for the holiday and maybe that has something to do with them not announcing anything?

To the topic of this thread, I see 2 choices :
  1. gtfo
  2. wait some more

I choose number 2 for now. If we get to CES(with no gn) and see better phones, then I'll go with 1.

Waiting is a drag for sure, but a petition or mail spamming or tweet bombing is plain dumb. Somewhere deep in a VZW boardroom they are enjoying this.

On the surface, it may seem the case but a newer radio w/ a stronger signal, solves the spotty issues they were having w/ a certain bloated app.;)

Thank you CynicX for being a rare voice of reason here.

On another note, a large window isn't rare at all. It happens all the time actually. I gave some examples in this or another thread, but its very, very common

I know that is the case but that wouldn't necessarily be considered a bug due to a poor radio.
