Titanium Backup vs CWM Advanced Restore

Hey guys,

I recently discovered the CWM advanced restore data feature and I absolutely love it. It makes flashing so much quicker and easier.

In the last couple of weeks I have seen some people badmouthing it and saying that it is basically the same as doing a dirty flash. Like I said I've been using it for several weeks and so far I have not seen any problems that I know of.

Anyone else have opinions, ideas or experiences they want to share?

It's pretty much exactly like doing a dirty flash. Copy the data partition and then put it back? Why bother wiping data? A lot of people have success with dirty flashing. Sometimes you do and sometimes you don't. But when a dev is trying to troubleshoot an issue for you. Don't tell him you did a full wipe because while that may have been your intention but it's not reality.
