To hard reset or not to hard reset?

I went to Verizon today about a TON of problems with my phone, they seemed to think my SD card was botched and they gave me a new one, they also said that this isn't the only problem though (it isn't, clearly). They told me I should hard reset my phone to see if the phone is botched or if it's just one of my apps. I really don't want to hard reset my phone, but if I have to to get my properly working Droid back I will. Do you guys think I should hard reset or just play with uninstalling the apps?

wipe data factory reset and start fresh see if that helps

Factory reset on a Droid is far less traumatic than on a Blackberry IMHO. It's worth giving a shot...

Well I uninstalled a ton of stuff I wasn't using, which seems to have fixed it. I'm not sure which app was messing with the camera and gallery, but I'd guess it was FXCamera? Anyone else have problems with this?
BTW: Just an odd tidbit, the replacement SD card they gave me had about 150 pictures of some baby on it, I guess a Verizon employee somewhere is looking for their baby pictures...
