To Keep you Droid X Running Fast and Smooth

You have to put the phone in usb debugging mode (On the device, go to the home screen, press MENU, select Applications > Development, then enable USB debugging). A reference to it is somewhere in the downloading or initial launching of Autostarts. Mine was also hanging until I remembered seeing the message and made the change. Now all is well.

Awesome! that worked perfectly :)

I'm not sure if I disabled something I shouldn't have, but my Gmail auto sync recently stopped working. It's pretty delayed, as in hours. Anyone know what process that was called? Could just be the X being the X.

Autostarts had Google Apps disabled under During Startup and I think that may be the problem. It won't re-enable it, once I enable it and reopen the program it will show as disabled again... Idk what to do about this one.

Mine is like that too(as far as google apps being disabled during startup) and i get my gmail still immediately. Must be something else that is not starting.

First, you could add a widget called Power Control (it's already on your phone) to one of your home screens and make sure your sync control has a green bar under it, making sure something you have done hasn't turned it off. I read about that fixing gmail sync for someone earlier today.

If that doesn't help, in order to get Google Apps to stay enabled under During Startup, I think you'll have to go through all the items in Autostarts and make sure that every where you see Google Apps or Google Talk, you don't have it disabled.

Alright finally found the stupid social network app. For those of you that want to shut this app down it is friendfeed.apk
