That phone already exists and it's called S8+.I'd prefer no pen and bigger battery![]()

Samsung has been pushing the Note phone line more and more mainstream to the point that there is very little difference between S*Plus and Note. And based on all the info the Note 8 is going to look exactly like S8 Plus with a Pen. Yes, it's going to be 0.1" taller screen, but pls let's get real.
I've been using Note phones for about 5 years now and I am wondering if there is any point in Note series anymore if they are just a S*Plus with a Pen. I almost never use the Pen. In all of 5 years I may have used the pen 20 times. And that's generous.
I have a Note tablet as well that is a workhorse but I never use the pen.
I am not even going to bring the price into discussion even though the Note 8 maybe $200 more than its identical twin S8 Plus.
So, to pen or not to pen?
I hope these rumors are false and Samsung puts a decent sized battery in it! What I REALLY want is manufacturers to go back to removable batteries, but I know that's not gonna happen. The Note 8's battery size wouldn't be nearly as important to everyone if it was just removable.
It should work with sheets. I used it for Microsoft Word and Excel all the time.Never used a note. I use Google sheets almost every day for work - does the spen work well with this kind of thing?
Obvious answer - for the pen. Don't need the pen? Then no, you have no reason to buy it.Note 7 was an amazing device. It was different from the S7 edge. But the Note 8 will be an S8+ with an S Pen AND a smaller battery. Why would I want a device with a bigger screen (than S8+) with a smaller battery AND pay more for it???

Unless they are thinking of women's hands... I think they are designing phones for women who typically have much smaller hands, since women tend to upgrade/change their phones more often than men.
I think I just hit the target on their marketing objective.
Can someone explain to me what advantage there is to having a pen?
I'm not knocking the feature in any way shape or form but I've never had one. I tried a Note 7 in the store but other than a more precise touch, what do I gain? It was great having a stylus back in the day of the Palm Pilot with their shorthand. I recall Nitendo DS made games that were designed to work better with a stylus. Are their apps that work exclusively or better with the pen?
I'm not concerned about the smaller battery. I'm pretty sure Samsung know what they're doing by putting a smaller battery in. Because I'm a power user I have a fast charger here a charger there a charger everywhere.Note 7 was an amazing device. It was different from the S7 edge.
