I have tried to find out but have a mental block or something.............

I plan on having a 4G phone soon. I need to either tether or air-card.

What are the differences in speed and pricing between the two?

Thanks

Tethering with your phone would be an additional 20 bucks for 2 GB's or you can get a Mobile Hotspot and get 5 or 10 GB for 50.00 or 80.00. More details listed here.

Also for whatever it may be worth to you Tethering is a plan add on and can be added and removed as needed. The aircard you either need to pay full retail for the aircard or sign a contract to get it cheap.

I've done both and found the data transfer with an air card to be smoother though a MiFi is the best.

One other thing to remember is that a Tethered phone will not be able to receive phonecalls because of how the data service works. The possible exception MIGHT be the Thunderbolt (and possibly Revolution) but that's something to talk to a Verizon Rep about.
