Sorry for the long post, but I thought I'd share as we all wait on our updates....

Just got a call from my girlfriend (I bought her a Dinc 2 weeks ago, Ive had mine since release) ....she asks me "did you get the update on your phone that you wouldnt stop talking about last night?"...of course my relpy is "no, not yet"....she says, "well I got some notification on my phone that says "system update" but I dont want to do anything until you get home so I dont mess up my phone".....I proceed to ask her "are you sure its not an app update, are you sure, are you lying?"....at this point she says she has to get back to work and she will show me when I get home.....

Of course there is the BIG chance she is messing with me because I wouldnt shut up about it last night. She even caught me checking my phone at 4 am this morning. But if she isnt, I may be swapping phones with her as shes sleeping.....

Well you know what they say..... pics or it didn't happen...... but not of the phone this time, we will settle for the GF....lol.... just kidding....

Don't quote me, I'm a neophyte about OTA Android updates -- but I don't think it's that easy.

At least on the MOTO DROID they were able to cancel the update then copy the file off of the phone and share it that way.

The virus hasn't spread to Boston yet as far as I can tell. If Froyo zombies start roaming the street I'll be sure to let everyone know.

i got a question and hopefully someone can help me out here. I recently rooted my inc and downloaded the wireless tethering and I must say it works very nicely. My question is: Do I have to unroot my inc in order to be able to download the froyo? Also if I root it again (if I have to unroot it) Will I be able to download the wireless tethering again to avoid having to pay Verizon for tethering and will it tether in 802.11n?
