Got 2.2 on my DInc

It installed this morning and after about 10 minutes it was running. Only issue so far is an Exchanger Server error message (Failed to connect to server) when it tries to Sync Calendar. I tried deleting and re-adding the account but that didn't fix it.

Also Swype does not work (needs an update). Haven't played with it enough to see a difference otherwise.

Yeah, I'm waiting it out also. The only other person I know that has a dinc got the ota yesterday....I know it makes no difference but I'm in Seattle.

It just would be nice if there was one thread and someone was "modding" that thread listing all the issues and then linking to the fixes, etc.

+1 for waiting, if for no other reason than out of sheer morbid curiosity to see how long it takes. I have the update.zip file on my card, just sitting there, testing my will. 2.2 won't make much of a difference to me during the week...but since VZW said they should be finished by Friday, I'll give them until Friday night. My son's first soccer game of the year (aka cat-herding, he's 4 1/2) is Saturday morning and I want my 720p available.

I understand your pain. The problem with merging everyones issues with froyo is that issues quickly get overlooked, bypassed and then lost. This is what happened to me. When I posted separately, I got a quick response and solution.

I was in the same place you are, update.zip on the SD card, thinking about waiting just to see how long it would take, and, it came. Good luck for the pre-soccer update. It took less than 10 minutes to install, which seems to be at variance with what the update zip-heads seem to be reporting. I had to reinstall SwypeBeta, but, other than that, no issues whatsoever.

Oh, yeah, I was wearing argyle socks and plaid high-top tennis shoes.

D'oh!!! I knew I should have worn my golf spikes to the office today!!!...and I HATE golf!!

Oh, and will the OTA notification appear on the lock screen, or will I need to "unlock" every time I obsessively check every 5 minutes?

Froyo Installed

I can't understand why my post was deleted. I simply explained that I downloaded the update.zip and explained what happened as it was installing. Anyhow, it worked. I now have froyo, and I want to thank everyone here for looking out for the rest of us who hadn't received the ota.

So I have decided to wait impatiently for the OTA update and have three friends here in Idaho that also have the Dinc, as of yesterday we had no update. The one Dinc is in Portland OR this morning and he gets it and all went well, still nothing in ID for the other three. I think Verizon hates potato's. I even wore my Android green shirt today and still no love...my wife hates this shirt so that means double the no love! The OTA is supposed to be completed by Friday, right???

After a few more days I will start merging these threads together once it slows down a bit. If there are 2 threads with the same or similar titles then I'll merge or lock 1 of them now. Believe me I feel your pain.
