Toggling between 4g and 3g?

It's already been stated before that there is no toggle (stupidly), check the forums next time. (:

isn't this going to be a huge battery killer for those of us that aren't in 4G areas if it's going to be constantly looking for it?

its probably going to be no different then going 1x to 3g. so you'll have 1x, 3G, 4G. it'll be fine.

My theory is that the holdup with this phone was how long it took to connect between 3G and 4G with the toggle that was, at one point, built into the OS. Remove the toggle -- problem solved, device shipped.

Haven't found a 3rd party toggle that works yet either. :\

does anyone know the system settings access code for HTC devices?

on other phones u hit like ##78598 and it took you to a menu with all the PRL and other options that you normally wouldent touch. this is where you would do it.

I don;t think so. You generally have a drain when the system is on the edge of service or constantly switching towers

I HOPE there is a toggle. I can't use this thing if it's on 3G (EDIT: 4G) all the time. I need my battery. I just want the phone not as much as the 4G. Maybe you can take out the SIM if you don't want 4G?

Anyone think they are keeping this toggle from us until the next OTA? This would allow them to really see the throttling of the 4G network with phones?

Of course it was in there, but as far as being an easy "toggle" widget I guess not.

Yes. I checked my GF's Evo and she has it in her network settings without having to go through prompts and has a little widget. Not sure why they excluded from the TB. More than likely to avoid technical shenanigans.

bet XDA develops a toggle within a week

until then, that Desire trick is gonna work just well.

i'm completely surrounded by LTE in my area--but am just as worried about the battery drain on it as i am if it were switching btwn 3g/LTE & the constant signal search
