Tones not making sound when dialing voicemail

When I call my voicemail, I have my password stored in the voicemail number after a pause. While the password (usually) works, I cannot hear the tones. On my previous Razr, Razr Maxx, and Droid X, this was not a problem. I'm not sure if this is a setting, or just how the Maxx HD works.

I assume you have the key press time sound activated?

Do you mean the "dial pad touch tones" option in Sounds? If not, what do you mean?

Yes, sorry for the confusion. Google Keyboard and I are not on the same page when it comes to auto Correction.
