Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Hi, i want to know can i flash this on my marvel Htc wildfire s with Gsm version???

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

i just did everything and it says s-off in hboot, so what do i do know that my phone is s-off'd?

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

ok i did eveything, and in hboot it shows s-off, but absolutely nothing is copied to my phone, it just shows failed for everything

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Ok all thet files are in zip. This means cwm and the stuff for root. The reason you don't see cwm is due to I don't flash it with a fastboot image but flash_image. Cwm is the recovery.img. After it does the s-off files the phone needs to be fully booted into the os before proceeding with the prompts. If it still doesn't work I will have to check out the script.

How ever sorry guys for not being more prompt, as I haven't been feeling good. As for how to know if a gold card works. You will get a cid error when it loads the s-off files. If you don't get a cid error when loading the s-off files then the gold card part more than likely is not needed. I have none to test on at this moment. So I can't say for sure.

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Thanks so much for posting this. I see that my screen now say s-off, but how do I check to see if the phone was rooted properly? I tried connecting to a wifi hotspot that requires root, but I get a message saying that I must have SU permission and I should try rooting the phone.

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

I get as far as the batch file, in Hboot, it parses a few files n says in blue
'Update in progress'
then in black
'jumping to DIAG'
and unfortunately freezes there indefinetly.

Anyone help..:(

Thought I was on the money for a minute, any help mucho appreciated.

keep up the great work guys, I'm sure its just a minor issue

:)

Hi man! So sad to hear that, hope you feel better now. Well, both times I tried with your method I got the very same error with Cwm , and can say that the phone was fully booted so, I think it has to be a problem with the script, maybe a mispell error or something. I oppened the recovery.img file with notepad and could not find anything with Cwm, but something with cWm.

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

There is only 1 bug I have found so far, and that is when I access my camera it freezes and/or quick restarts

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

I am having the same problem that many others are having. Nothing is being copied to the phone .

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Ok If you guys want help instead of saying this or that doesn't work, nab the output. I can't do a thing by going off of it does not work. I have been busy with port work to two other devices. Not sure if you guys are aware of the htc merge but looking at the one that finally got cm on it :)

Any way this is beta stage for another device as so not sure if it will work. If it does I will migrate the s-off stuff into it and move it from beta. Basically download the file I will link below. Create a folder on the desktop and extract the contents to it. You should have a tools and electrifypermroot (Yes I know for a different device, how ever still should be fine.) Turn usb debugging on and plug the phone in. Then double click the electrifypermroot. Follow on screen directions and see what happens. If you get a error give me the error word for word. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24065431/Electrify-AIO_Testing5.zip

The above uses zergrush to exploit the phone. Where it should work on anything ginger up to around 2.3.6. The above script will copy su binary to bin, install latest superuser and install busybox. Then reboot the phone. Once reboot check for superuser and you have su permissions.

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

please i can't find a clear answer i for this i've red all the comments and every thing here is my question i live in egypt i can use any sim in my wildfire s so i think i'm GSM ok ? can i use this tutorial to s-off my device or no ?

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

As far as I am aware the only way for you to s-off is with a xtc clip. How ever you answered yourself if you are gsm or not. Gsm has a sim card and cdma does not. Till you come across a phone that is a world phone. Which will be cdma with a gsm radio, where it will have a sim card slot. How ever the wildfire isn't one.

Re: Wildfire S-off, Root & Cwm One Click/Script (Beta)

Actually if you want to s-off this guide won't work. But if you just want permroot, You can try the one click from my post above.

Installing Superuser...
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
failed to copy 'tools\su' to '/system/bin/su': Read-only file system

This is what I get for an error...same thing with busybox
