Android Central Question

This app worked great on my Samsung Galaxy S7, but then I upgraded to the S10, I can't press any of the icons to open the data behind it. I can move the icons in an arc and the app is registering my RPM, but can't get to things like the actual CEL fault code.

I tried writing to the developer, but no answer. I tried uninstalling and re-installing. No change.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Thanks, Steve

Check Google account to make sure old phone removed, maybe only 1 phone allowed active at a time when software checks Google Play license.

I solved this today. At some point I allowed the app to run in full screen mode. This needs to be set to Auto. Go to Settings --> Display --> Full screen apps. Scroll to find Torque and change it from Full screen to Auto.

Thanks! Worked for me too.

THANKS! That worked!

WOW! Weird! I would have never thought to look there! I certainly didn't change settings, but I'm thinking this happened during the Samsung apps transfer from the old phone to the new one. It a shame that the developer chose to not respond to my query. Thanks again!

That fix worked perfectly!

The pain in the a$$ is that when the app opens there is a banner across the bottom of the screen the says "tap here to fill the entire screen" that does not leave the screen. Not sure if you can get rid of that message. So, you will inevitably press it and the app goes wonky. At least you can change the screen mode back easily and you don't have to close it either. I can also verify if you uninstall it and reinstall, it remains the same. Once you change the screen mode, it works and you still have any customized screens that you set up before you uninstalled and reinstalled.

Hi There,

wonder if you could help me out. This was working perfectly on my Samsung A9 Pro. I changed to an A71 about a year back and now the menu/setting buttons have disaapeared.
There is no Full Screen option in Display. Its either On or Off.
Tried messing around with the Developer options but no luck.
Can you maybe help me out??

Hi, welcome to AC!
Have you tried some of the suggestions above?

Can also check this app out if only want 1/4 stats other parameters, I don't think it can read ob2 codes

Hi. Yes, I've tried out t he suggestions in this forum. Didn't help.
I have been able to use the application, which I received with by OBD2 Bluetooth adaprtor, untill I upgraded my phone. My old phone was an Android 6 and the Torque App worked perfectly.
The new phone is an Android 10. Suddenly, I cannot see the Menu/setup button and as a result, only the default Realtime Information is useful.
I also have the Advanced Renault LT plugin, which makes it really easy to trace errors. It has helped a couple of time. I recall when I had an Injector failure..because the app told me it was a No.3 injector failure, I could make a decision to carry on driving, on 3 cylinders and reach a city. Else Renault's answer was to stop the car and have the car towed to a service center, even though i told them i was in the middle of nowhere.

Just curious , why don't you get a cheap scanner to read ob2 trouble codes ?

Just didn't want to spend again on something I already have.
But open to any suggestions - do post a link to the equipment you're refering to.
