Titanium backup, Ultimate Backup, or a handful of other backup apps can do this... TWRP (or any recovery) can't I'm afraid.
O.K., so Titanium Back-up does that. Do i back up everything, or just the contacts app?

I really don't know... But Google found me this pretty quickly, according to XDA it is exactly what you want.O.K., so Titanium Back-up does that. Do i back up everything, or just the contacts app?

I'm pretty sure the USB-OTG will get you up and running again!
Wow that sounds like a absolute nightmare, most I've ever screwed up my G2 was by potentially deleting all phone system files (phone as in messaging contacts etc.)
Hope you can someday get it working again, The glory of root access mistakes could make so many fail montages
AT&T couldn't get it working. It was totally wiped out. I've got a replacement phone, and it will be a while before i root it, if ever.
