Maybe I'm just missing something but I was wondering if it's possible to disable/turn off the touch key's backlighting (search, home, menu, back) when the Droid is in the dock? :(

I suppose another question I should ask is whether or not your touch key backlighting is on whilst the Droid is in the dock. It can be rather bright at night. :(

im using my dock rite now and i have a lock and everything set on so my fone goes completely dark. I dont think you can turn those lights off though... i turned my lock off and those lights shut off after about 10 secs come back off then the whole phone shuts off Something might be wrong with your Droid.

i think they stay on forever if you have it set to keep the screen from ever sleeping.

i didn't notice this last night, but apparently i'm not nearly as light sensitive when sleeping as some other people on this board are :p

it would have been nice if they turned off when you click the dim screen button or something

that would be a nice feature... maybe in a software update. *crosses fingers* As well as making that whole display a theme on the phone

Strangely enough I have my display to sleep for after 30 seconds, backlighting on auto, and the touch buttons stay on in a dimly lit room. However, if the lighting conditions are, well, umm, bright... the touch button LEDs turn off. If I leave the phone alone (30 seconds for the screen sleep) and then dim the lights, the touch lights turn on. UGH!

Oh well. It's almost too bright for me to sleep with on, anyway. I ended up turning the display off last night. :/

People may not realize that you must set your screen to "never turn off" if you plan to see the clock during the night while in dock. The dim feature works fine for me. Close your eyes and go to sleep!
