Touch screen loss of functionality for some apps

Noticed this problem recently, seems to happen when I open a link out of the stock e-mail, that the touch screen functionality is partially lost in Chrome. For example, touching the numbered box to open other tabs or close the open tab produces no result.

I usually try to go to the settings to force stop the app, and I sometimes find some of the touch screens don't work, but no pattern to these failures that I can detect so far.

Usually solution is a reboot.

I have Marshmallow installed, on Virgin Canada

Anyone else experienced this?

Get rid of chrome and stock email app and see if the problem persists. If it goes away keep it that way!
