TouchWiz lag..apps or SD card

I'm on day 5 of using my s7 and notice lag creeping up. Can the culprit be my 128 EVO samsung sd card or my 96 installed apps? I have turned off all notifications and optimized battery life for every app. I'm wondering if the slow speed of my EVO sd card may be affecting the performance? Any recommendations appreciated.

Remove the sd card and ride out for couple of days and see? Personally I removed the sd card after couple of days and just using internal storage since I use Google photos and music which are both in the cloud and only need internal storage for apps. Also, I have around 150 apps installed and not seeing any lags.

Edit: Forgot to add I'm using Nova launcher and not touchwiz launcher so probably that makes a difference I guess?

I also noticed that having picture widgets affects the home screen speed. Wish it didn't slow down but still a damn good device.
