While the Market tracks your apps installed, it doens't keep track of the changes you make and the ones you delete.
Perhaps there is a way to do that or an app for it, in case of a reset?

I think the amazon app store does that so you could download that and use that instead of the market

If it's a matter of keeping the apps you downloaded, in case of a reset, Titanium Backup will back the apps to your SD card. Then after the reset, install TB, and restore your apps.

As far as the ones you delete, no app that I know of.

Titanium will only work if you are rooted.

If you are using Gingerbread you can go to Settings -> Privacy and select Backup my data - this will backup all your apps to Google and they will download after a reset.

Or you can use Appbrain.com - Set up an account on the web, then download their app and login. You can sync what apps you have to appbrain. Then after a reset you can download the appbrain app and login and re-download all apps. Appbrain does not backup your state in the apps, just a list of the apps, so any game saves, etc would not be saved.

Hope this helps.

don't forget about astro. it has an option to back apps up to sd. then if you ever need to wipe your phone all you have to do is redownload astro and reinstall the backed up apps. and you don't need to be rooted.
it's free in the market.
