Does Samsung give fair trade in value on phones? Does anybody know what their past trade in values have been. Just curious what I can get for an xs max

Last few releases have been great for newer phones ... Added with bonus gifts overall package I've not seen any others with better trade-in values

Best trade is towards unlocked model or at least it was with Note 10. As an example they were giving 600 for pixel 3 and 3XL. I don't remember iphone trades but my wife recently got 400 towards iphone pro max with trade on iphone X

When I signed up for the pre-order, Samsung asked if I wanted to do a trade in. I selected yes, and it said they had an exciting offer in store. Just what that means, who knows.

Just to keep you salivating

Yeah it said "amplify your savings with special trade in values on specific devices".

Seriously, if there Ultra is $1,200 and I can somehow get $600 for my Pixel 4 XL, then I'll do it and save the trouble of trying to sell it. That is if I decide to switch from my Pixel. All depends on if the camera really is good on the Ultra. More megapixels doesn't always mean better results, especially when you are competing against Google's software.

When I pre-ordered my S10 last year, Samsung gave me $300 for my 2-yr old LG G6. They also gave me free wireless ear buds ($150 value) too.

That's what Samsung was offering. Wouldn't be surprised if there are insanely good trade in values to offset the prices of the Ultra.

Is it easier to go through Samsung for a trade in vs going through my carrier? If they both offer the same trade in?

I feel the same as you. I want to try this phone but it will have to beat out my Pixel. The last 2 times I bought a Samsung phone I sold my Pixel. I had withdrawal symptoms and had to go back. I think I might bite the bullet and keep my Pixel. It will be worth the psychological trauma I'll endure. You know that the next Android beta will be out soon. I will need my fix...

Here they were only offering 3 or 400 for the Note 9 8/512 when I was getting my Note 10 plus 5G
UK/Ireland always get screwed by Samsung

I've done both with Samsung and ATT in the past, and if I had the option with the same offer I'd pick ATT.

That's all? Can only imagine how much for the 3axl? If not much I'll keep it and only get the S20+

Unfortunately the 3a XL isn't even being offered for trade. But that is for the s10 plus and Note series. As mentioned, hopefully samsung will offer better and more trade-ins for the s20.

Samsung always gives great trade in values. For newer models you can get $550-$650 depending on what the offer is. Even for older models they do offer good trade in prices.

Don't go by what the current trade in price is since the launch pre order trade in prices are always better and it'll be that way at least during the launch month.
