Trade Ins

I haven't had any problems with past returns.

I always take photos of:

Phone powered on and off

Condition of the back of the phone

(I ship them back in a nondescript box that gets sealed with gum tape)

Weight my digital scale displays of the return box and shipping contents open and sealed with shipping label on it.

(Insert return shipping label in FedEx envelope and affix that in a wrap of clear packaging tape too)

Also take a photo of when it is on the scale at FedEx.

My tracking has been stuck in Irving, TX since 2/8. It was supposed to be delivered today but I'm assuming maybe tomorrow or Wednesday.

Well I never had problems as well for many many years, until one day you have

Happened to me last year. You can take whatever photos, videos, follow all the instructions etc, but you can't prevent the phone getting stolen by FedEx in transit. Sometimes you just get unlucky and it can happen to anyone. Luckily, for me Samsung took care immediately without any questions asked even though I had videos, photos etc. But I have seen for some people they create hassle even with all the proof.

Looking like I might have drawn the short straw this time. My trade in is bouncing around the DFW area with just a yellow exclamation that the delivery has been updated, but no information of what that update is. Been three business days now floating around.

I finally got around to sending trade in to Samsung. I'll drink some coffee and forget about it for awhile. Maybe it'll be there by Friday, maybe next week, it'll get there when it does. I know it won't be picked up till tomorrow afternoon, and with weather it might take a couple days longer. I know I'm not going to track every minute of its travels, .

Mine has been at Hutchins, TX. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday. If they don't get it by the 16th they will probably cancel my trade in.

I've found that 3/4 of the battle for trade in process is FedEx. I wish Samsung would also change the trade in shipper to UPS. I would pay to ship thru UPS myself if I could.
I feel this, UPS is great in my rural town but FedEx absolutely sucks and I get so nervous sending it back through them. Luckily nothing happened this time but I definitely would rather use UPS in the future.

They can't and won't cancel your trade-in. If you shipped your old phone by the deadline, using the supplied shipping label, then you've met your responsibility. It doesn't matter when (or even if) it gets delivered.
