Transfer Music

So i got a weird issue.
Got a new disk and ripped to MP3 files.
transferred songs over to my Maxx but the "Single" (released song for air play) was put into a separate "file" would be the best way to explain. Entire disk is over 12 tracks, the track that is the "Single" so I open google play and I have 2 tabs for the same release, 1 has all tracks except 1 it has the 1 "Single" track. I used explorer app and it shows up in the same folder.
Could this be something done by the record company to have this happen?

Also when I play it in windows media player that track is listed as a different gene than the other tracks.

Use Windows Media Player to edit all of the tracks in the same album to make sure they all share the exact same album name, album artist, genre, etc. Fields that are ok to differ are song name (obviously) and individual track artist. Year should be ok to vary, but to be safe, make sure the year is the same for all tracks. This should edit the ID3 tags on all of the tracks. Now transfer those files back to the phone, and see if they show up correctly now.
