My wife got the OTA update this morning. Her transform is now running Android 2.2.2. She had the Swype beta keyboard before the update and it seems to still be working after the update.

I just wanted to let everyone know that it is happening.

Wife has a Transform bought on release day last year, she was running all stock and just got the update OTA notification this morning. Ran the update and it now says Android 2.2.2

My Epic on the other hand.....

1. Should I get rid of LauncherPro?
2. Do I get rid of Advance Task Killer
3. Why can't I use swype when I go to send a text? Anyway on how to turn it on or something?

just want to report i got the update this morning...

possible issues right off the bat...my messaging wont open...and the time on the phone is not working...soft resetting now to hopefully fix this...ill report back

update soft reset didnt work...system time wont update(my clock widget does),text messaging wont open, phone wont dial out


update-isssue seems to be resolved...i think it was a combo of the fresh update still applying and i had about 15 texts coming in at the same time..working very smoothly now

My Dad's transform got the update yesterday. It installed pretty smoothly and while I noticed a few immediate changes I didn't see anything big. Oddly enough my Mom's transform hasn't gotten it yet. Wish they would have gotten it at the same time so I wouldn't have to get a second phone call about what to do haha.

Probably need to go to keyboard settings and check Swype. On my Epic it's called "Locale and text".

Update issue?

Pretty sure my phone attempted to update to 2.2 yesterday morning, then it froze, I got some error screen, and it revolted. Now, I'm still on Eclair and it says there are no updates for my Android.

What are my options to push the update to my phone again?

go to "settings" then click on "about phone" then "system updates" and select "update Android."

bumer. i'll bet you havent gotten the update yet. you have to click on "install now" when it tries to update. if you havent seen that option you should ar some point. it doesnt just start the update by itself. i kept clicking on "install later" every time i got that option, then hen i was ready i went into settings and updated. hope that makes sense.
