Transformer 3.1 update. Here it is.

Could someone upload this to another host? I'm unable to get to the site to download this update.

Edit: Nevermind, was able to reach it thru proxy. Flashing now!

Just uploaded an untarred EP101_SDUPDATE.zip file to a mirror: File removed per ASUS' request - Phil

Will save you some time having to untar it - not sure why it was tarred in the first place.

OK I must be doing something wrong. Its not taking. I tried t from the root of the sd card and from a asus\update\ folder with renaming the file... Still show 3.0.1

yeah I renamed it and put in the folders stated.
Inserting card device notifies me of update.
I go through the motions and get "assert failed: write_raw_image("/tmp/blob", "staging")
E:Error in /sdcard/Asus/Update/US_epad-user-8.4.4.5.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Guessing it should be on /sdcard (internal) instead of /removeable (microSD) ?

On MicroSDHC
mkdir ASUS
mkdir Update
ren decompressed .zip from tarball to US_epad-user-8.4.4.5.zip
insert MicroSDHC in TF101
Look for alert showing system update detected.
Done!

No hard resets, or system bootloader tricks. Just Update from Honeycomb
Of course make sure you are at 50% still.

Thanks! This worked for me.

I'm at 3.1, and figured out what I did wrong. I downloaded it onto my transformer. Should have did what the OP said and copied it from my computer. Also, I held the up volume key until it actually started the update. Thanks for the leak! Now, how about a root?

Sweet! Rockin' on 3.1 right now.

I've use the SD card method. After copying and renaming the files, when I insert the card, the TF recognized it right away as having an update. Click the update, and after several minutes it's done. I didn't get update for the dock though...

Oh, just in case someone out there wonder if this work on using the regular SD on the dock. No, it didn't work on mine. LOL.

Noob questions, sorry

1. So i don't have to be rooted, correct?
2. Must it be placed on an SD or can I download it to internal storage?
3. After the update, will we still get the normal OTA update next week?
4. Can i just use the SD Card in my DInc or will that mess stuff up?

Well, just installed the update - that five seconds should be called 2-3 - the text is small at the top left telling you to hit up so pay close attention. Installed over a few minutes and voila - android 3.1

just getting into it but definitely better flash performance and even smoother scrolling on home screens. Hope it keeps getting better like this over and over

Alas, this did not help my charging situation and so I am now even more convinced that it is a hardware issue in my plug - will probably try a hard reset as I managed to hit the up arrow fast enough to not get a data wipe, wondering if this might help - doubt it though

Does anyone know of a way to wipe battery stats on this unit like you can from clockwork recovery on other android devices? - just taking stabs and troubleshooting

Drat!

I'm stuck at the inlaws all weekend and I only put an SD card in the keyboard. I even remember looking at a spare 2 GB uSD card sitting in the drawer and thinking, "Naw, I won't need that this weekend..."

There's a root version at xda. Also Prime v2 is in the work
