Seriously, this thing's small and kinda a PITA. Are you carrying around the HTC one, or just relying on being able to find a paper clip if need be?

Drill it and put it on your key chain is my solution.

The paperclip can be made to work, but even small ones are wider than this tool, and a tight fit.

Good news, is the old iPhone sim tool fits ok, and its easier to get on your key chain. And they are a dime a dozen and universally available and any place I would buy a sim.

Swiss army knife or leatherman could market this as a feature for modern man and boost sales.

I'd put it in the buttoned pocket inside my billfold if I ever had to travel with it. That's where I keep things of that nature such as a tiny usb stick and sometimes the lone key. Never coins (I don't carry change - nor use condoms for that matter).

Just got my WHITE HTC One X (quite possibly the last one on the planet from reading all the sites : ) and am reading over all the threads.

Prolly a real dumb question but won't be the 1st or the last outta me, i'm curious what the need would ever be to ever remove the micro sim and why i would carry that doohicky thing with me... Am i missing a feature?

Thanx!

P.S. (Since i am in "honeymoon phase" i will reserve judgement for now, those 1001 threads on HTC One X issues are a little alarming, but as of right now (4 hours of ownership) i've died and gone to "Phone Heaven".... and believe me i know "Phone H*ll, i've just left Sprint :-$

I noticed the Att reps all had this on their keychain.

You have to be careful putting it next to the condom... It can poke a hole in thus defeating its purpose...

I can't carry mine when I travel as TSA says I can't take sharp objects on airplanes... ;)

k, k, so bein' a girl the condom jokes are sorta lost on me, plus when i'm on a fact finding mission my sense of humor goes m-i-a...('cept when i'm the one crackin' the joke...lol : )

BUT, what i still am wondering, is WHY would you need to bring the sim pin hole prickly thing with y'all? Isn't micro sim just a "set it & forget it" till u change phones a year or so later" sorta deal?

Thanx,

If you travel in Europe, you tend to swap sim cards. Otherwise you pay steep roaming charges.

The EU is trying to reduce these charges from country to country, but historically European users swapped Sims frequently.

One trip to Mexico or a drive through Canada will make the problem obvious on your next cell bill.

I just use a paperclip and store it along with all my international SIM cards.
