Re: Tried updating to Jelly Bean -- Stuck on Google screen / Boot
I have this problem as well. I will go into as much detail as possible and you can see what you think. I downloaded the 4.1.1 BB ROM. I put it onto my sd card of my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I restarted in CWM Recovery. I wiped data/cache, wiped cache again, wiped dalvik cache, installed ROM, went to mount/stoage and formatted system, and fixed permissions. I rebooted system. It cam up just fine. Since this has happened every time on every JB ROM I have tried I decided to turn off the phone and restart. To my surprise, it booted up just fine. I downloaded all my apps and then made a back up in CWM. Later I logged into everything and set up all my apps they way I wanted them and made another back up and rebooted again from CWM and again...success. I mae a phone call, sent a couple texts and then as the final test, as in nights previous, I turned off the phone and left it off for about 5 minutes. I turned the phone back on and hung at Google. I had to do a battery pull znd start in CWM. I tried wiping the cache again and the Dalvik cache. I reformatted the system again and fixed permissions. I also went ahead and installed the Jelly Bean bootloader. Still, no success and hung at Google. I tried restoring my JB backup and also my ICS backups and there were ERRORS AT DATA and data failed to restore therefore all nandroid backups failed. In order to get my phone working again I had to use the Toro 4.0.4 Unroot ISO. Now I have to set up my phone again for the 5th time in 3 days. Thoughts?
