Trouble texting pictures to my daughter's iPhone

I have a P4 (latest software update) and I am unable to text pictures to my daughter's iPhone SE 2020 (also up to date). She can't text me pictures either. We can text each other regular text messages.

I can text pictures to my other children and my wife, all of whom have iphones. Any ideas on how to solve?

I updated her network settings. (The same line used to have a dumb phone on it...don't know if that matters.) Network is Verizon.

I use Google Messages for texting. She has iMessage turned on. (I think I tried turning it off and it still didn't work.)

Current workaround is that we text pictures through Google Hangouts app.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What it say when you try send picture message? What phone was on that line before she got the iPhone?

Did you used to have an iPhone? If so, did you make sure your number has been completely unregistered from the iMessage server?

The message my daughter get is Failed to Send. The message I get it Failed to send. Invalid destination address.

I did have an iPhone I am pretty sure that my number is deregistered with iMessage. I just tried to do it again and it said I wasn't registered with iMessage.

Thanks for the help.

It might be worth contacting Apple Support directly and ask them to double check about your number. I've read posts before where people had to do that.

In the meantime, what happens if you delete your daughter's contact information, then re-enter it? Or manually type in her phone number as the message recipient?

On your phone also do network reset in settings see if u can send , I think your alright with deregister because you can send picture messages to other iPhone in your household.

Thanks for all of the help. Good news. I have solved the issue.

The line my daughter uses used to belong to a dumb phone that we used as a "home phone" for a few years. When we opened the line and got that phone, the kids were really young, so we set up some web blocks and video/image messaging blocks through Verizon on the line itself to protect them. (I just remembered we did that...something in one of your replies reminded me.)

Anyway, When we transfered that line to our daughter (who is 14 now) and put that line on an iphone, we forgot to remove those blocks. (She could still do iMessage with friends and our family who has iphones because it is not through Verizon) I just went to our Verizon app and removed those old blocks and now everything works. Just did a few test messages between us and all is good.

Thanks again for all of the ideas and the help.
