If you are not a fan of the google chrome browser or you just want a browser that can do everything that the samsung browser does especially if you had samsung devices in the past like myself and you prefer additional features...try this browser out on the LG v20...I love it and its great and not limited like the google chrome browser.....

I use both chrome and this browser on a daily basis...depends on my needs....

Can you elaborate on what limitations are in Chrome? I'm not biased towards browsers but have been adjusting to Chrome after a couple of months on Samsung browser and Safari prior to that.

Chrome browser doesn't have night mode...also there are more privacy and security options.......

The main thing I dislike about Chrome on Android is its lack of support for extensions. I knew one of things I would miss software wise going from my S7 Edge that replaced my note 7 to the LG V20 was the Samsung browser. The Samsung browser supports extensions and there are multiple really good ad block extensions for it in the play store. The Samsung browser with one of those ad block extensions was extremely fast and snappy!

Now that I have a V20, I've been going back and forth between Firefox which dose support extensions, and Chrome. Firefox is nice esp with ad block, but I def think chrome loads pages faster, and scrolling seems smoother with less waiting for images and content to load while scrolling.

Edit: I'm trying out the "Pyrope" browser OP suggested and so far I'm impressed. It is def fast! Seems to be based on chrome/chromium so it runs just as fast and smooth if not a little faster. And even though I don't see anywhere to install extensions it seems to have some sort of ad block built into it because I'm not seeing ads that I do on Chrome. Only thing I wish it had was a way to import bookmarks from chrome, but I saw in a play store review the dev responded saying that feature is currently being worked on!

JestStream benchmark on Chrome, Pyrope, and Firefox

Thanks for the tip OP

Chrome's latest version removed the bookmarks and recent tabs links on the new tab page and replaced them with either click bait ads or your most used bookmarks, which you have to scroll to get through. I also have a suspicion it is what broke the ability to upload photos to Facebook.

Thanks !! I just downloaded it to try out. After reading that it was optimized for snapdragon CPU I figured it would be fast.

Its fast but it doesn't sync with your Google account and doesn't autofill

Yes, I was just reading about that. Looks like the browser is being developed by some folks over on the XDA forums. It looks like they plan to add this functionality in an upcoming release.

Glad some people are enjoying the experience ...I want the makers to continue to support this browser...the more users the better
