first time poser... uh, I mean poster here. wanting to ride this bionic into the dirt. just rooted 6.7.246 ,and will install tbpro. would really like to keep this ics for a while.
is this possible? i've read some posts on moving/freezing/renaming? will research further, and this phone will soon be a backup/toy, but after seeing the post on a poss MAY push for updates, i'm getting a little panickiy. see! anyhoot, any assistance will be appreciated, and i look foward to lernin alott more on here.

thanks to all associated with the ocr instructions, data, videos etc... for the root.

Even if they push the update to you you don't have to install it. You can download it and just keep hitting installed later. Annoying but.....

If you flash a custom ROM you won't be bothered by it but you may not want to do that/ know how.
Maybe there is an app that can block it? I don't know, good luck!

I wouldn't count on simply refusing the install. My mate went to bed with GB on her Razr one night and woke up to ICS. It had downloaded and installed itself without warning or giving her the option to refuse. The only sure fire way to prevent an ota update is to be on a non-official version (like an earlier leaked ICS build), or a custom ROM.

same thing happened to me! I kept resisting, then woke up one sundy mornin to a whole "new" phone rebooting.
i intended to resisit to the bitter end, or figure out howto remove the "package". and it's not that i likes ics, i'm just becoming more resistant to their brand of improvement.
so now i gotta get withit, and fast apparently. should this be in the howto sec..

as long as you are rooted you can download autorun manager. and disable the update receivers listed in the google framework services. It will stop the annoying prompt.

with a battery used heavily for 11.9 mo. it turns itself off fairly regular. new batts's is on the way.
i'm leaning toward the g4 cuz soy wants a new samsung tv! but just saw root on rzrjb so idk fersher.
still luv moto, but i hate waiting for nada! that reminds me, it was the GB update trying to push. i was waiting/hoping ics was coming, and I could skip to ICS. dont get me wrong, I know these changes are mas fandf as we go, but the schedule(for bionic at least) can stand a little buffer in my case. then the ics was a force---- ok just dont force a total new os on me after 3 mo, especially since its almost irrelevant--- so now , even with JB heading out and eol for bionic, I might as well go future too with pi and maybe play with the bean a little on my bionic.
