Tune-In Radio Alarm function

I've asked this question to the Tune-In people but am asking here too, in the hope that it is a phone specific issue that someone has a solution for.

Using TuneIn Radio Pro v19.0.1 (230556)
Samsung A5 (2017) Nougat

I cannot get the Alarm function to work when I set it for the following morning, either on a one-off basis or repeating

BUT…setting an alarm for test purposes a few minutes in the future works fine. Could something in the phone be putting it into a mode after hours of not being used that prevents T-I from working?

Notifications are set to priority. App has been uninstalled, and reinstalled. Other Radio Apps work fine but I would prefer to use TuneIn.

Have downloaded other versions of TuneIn and they do not work either.
 
If other apps work, it's not Do Not disturb. It may be that TuneIn hiccups going past midnight. Or that it's after noon when you're setting it, and you're setting it for tomorrow in the PM, forgetting to change that.
 
Thanks for responding. historically not had problems with TuneIn with other phones so I'm inclined to think it's a phone specific issue.

Definitely set for AM - and it's also set to repeat for all weekdays (not weekends)

Will try setting when the time is past midnight as part of testing and see if that helps.
 
At least you know how to diagnose problems. Let us know. (And if it is a problem with either the app or the phone, let the developers know too.)
 
There have been a couple of updates to TuneIn over the past weeks and I tried a couple of things - one of which - or both - have cleared the problem for me.

I was skeptical that the AM/PM selector was working correctly, so I decided to use the alarm time selection controls in the app to run through a complete 24 hour period before settling on the time I wanted.

Specifically, I wanted an alarm at 7am, so I went forward on the 'hours' control through a complete day - watched the app change from am to pm and back to am until I settled on the time I wanted. Somehow this, or the update, or both have cleared to problem.
