Turning revue into a DVR

Random question here which I realize may be borderline ridiculous. Would it be theoretically possible to create an app that lets you DVR shows on your logitech revue that uses your usb flash drive as storage?

That is one of the features I would like to see in Google TV an HD OTA tuner and capability to add a hard drive ext or int for DVR capabilities. Boxee has add the tuner but no DVR capability yet.
