TUTORIAL: Downgrade Samsung Galaxy S5 from 5.0 to 4.4 KitKat

One more quesion ironass, its possible to change CSC (without original Samsung service) on my stock FW? TnX

There is a CSC code changer in, "Other tools", of Phone INFO ★Samsung★, free from the Play Store. it will FDR your phone. I have never used it personally as I just flash any and latest firmware for any G900F CSC code that takes my fancy.

What mean FDR? I ask because MOT CSC is my operator FW, and i will SIO rom beacuse it is official ROM for my Country (Slovenia) and this FW has not so much bloatware inside integrated!

FDR = Factory Data Reset

Why not just download the SIO firmware and flash it via Odin?

Yes i will do that but i ask you if will this procedure change CSC or must i do something else? :) ODIN is for me the simpliest way! I forgot to tell you, i have now MOT KitKat and works perfect :) Thank you again!

Flashing a stock firmware will not change your original CSC code. You will need Phone Info for that.

Yes but Phone Info needs root if i read correct?

- 'CSC Changer': Change the CSC. This tool requires root + multi-CSC stock firmware.

Yes but i dont wanna root my phone because of KNOX, no more Warranty... This MOT KitKat ist enough fine! TnX

Is it possible for me to use a 4.4.2 modem on a 5.0 firmware, the slight improvement of wifi reception on 4.4.2 is what I need to just get signal.

My answer is... I think so. I would advise making a nandroid backup before flashing the 4.4.2 modem... just in case.

i have tried this multiple times without success i constantly get

aboot.mbn
<ID:0/005> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/005> FAIL! (Auth)

thank you, i have the verizon model it currently has android 5.0 i have tried it in the powered usb port, and 2 other usb ports to no avail. i have not put my sim card in it yet as i had planned on doing that after i downgraded, rooted and flashed a new rom probably cm12, would that have anything to do with it? i have no interest in stock firmware and its bloatware

I am afraid that thanks to Verizon, your phone cannot now be downgraded or rooted any longer. See, Verizon's new OE1 & OG5 updates prevent downgrading or rooting
