TV commercial stating up to $300 trade-in on pre-orders?

Just saw a TV commercial stating up to $300 trade in on pre-orders. Webb site still has $350 on the Pixel. Can anyone explain the apparent discrepancy?

Thats for Verizon, which is not a good deal. If you have a Pixel trade it in with Google. $350 for Pixel 32gb is not bad considering I bought my Pixel from eBay for $325.

When I check the Verizon website I am only seeing a $300 promo out there.
