Twitter Question

Does anyone happen to know if you have protected your tweets which ultimately puts a padlock beside your name, if you send a tweet to someone that isn't following you, will they see that tweet in their own timeline?

I know unless they follow you and been approved they won't have access to your tweets on your own account, but just wondered if they'll see a tweet you send to them even though your twitter account is private.

Hi Fablis, I am new to Twitter, so please take this reply with a grain of sand. I believe that if you tweet to someone, despite if your account is private or not, then they will see the tweet on their timeline.
