Seeing that the Droid Charge will be released on the 28th of this month, what do you think will be the chance of the dinc 2 being released on the same day?

Anyone else remember vzw releasing multiple phones on the same day before?

it is being released on the 28th no worries
Verizon has said on the 28th and so far nothing has changed

Yes but Commando is not a top tier phone...

Ummm...can you throw the Charge or DInc2 out a window and have it still work? I think that that makes the Commando slightly top tier. I am honestly debating about that phone because I'm constantly outdoors and would love to be able to attach my phone to my mountain bike rather than be scared to even take my phone anywhere.

The Commando is a solidly mid-range device. It is Verizon's equivalent of the Motorola Defy.

I am not saying it wont be a good phone I just mean spec wise and target demographic wise it wont have the same appeal as the others.

I don't know about you, but throwing my phone out the window isn't part of my standard usage pattern.

Neither is mine...but if I'm going to spend $200 or more on a phone, then I want to make sure it will fit my lifestyle.

I don't see a huge difference between "top tier" devices this year compared to those from last year. Aside from LTE on the Bolt and upcoming Charge...is there really a big difference?

I kind of disagree. There is the difference, but I think it's much less than it was this time last year. I mean, the lower end phones were really low end. They had slower processors, less RAM (256MB wasn't unusual), and even lower screen resolutions (many had 320x480 screens).

As it is now, almost all the phones on the market have either WVGA (800x480) or higher resolutions, decently fast processors, and at least 512MB of RAM.
